On April 10th, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board in Quang Tri province announced that it had been accepted by the World Tourism Awards 2026 organizing committee for nomination in two categories: Asia's Leading National Park and Vietnam's Leading Natural Destination.

Specifically, to enhance promotion and contribute to raising the status and brand of Quang Tri tourism in general and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in particular, and to affirm the value of this World Natural Heritage site in Vietnam on the international tourism map, the Management Board of this National Park continues to register for the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2026.
To date, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has been accepted by the award organizers for nomination in two categories: Asia’s Leading National Park and Vietnam’s Leading Nature Destination.
Voting method: online voting via the website: http://www.worldtravelawards.com/vote. Voting will be open from the beginning of April 2026 to August 31, 2026.
To ensure a sufficient number of votes to guarantee Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park wins in both nominated categories, the Park Management Board has requested the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments, agencies, mass organizations, the People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones, media units, and tourism businesses in the province to actively participate, support communication, disseminate information, and vote for Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
Pham Hong Thai, Director of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, said that through participating in the awards, they aim to continue achieving tourism titles at the national and Asian levels, while striving to win a world-level award. This is also an important opportunity to promote the image of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang World Natural Heritage site and attract international tourists from potential markets.
The World Travel Awards (WTA) is a prestigious global award that honors destinations, organizations, and businesses that have made outstanding contributions to the tourism industry worldwide.
In 2025, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park impressively received a historic "double win": Vietnam's Leading Natural Destination and Asia's Leading National Park.
